Q. What is the best time of the year to see the seabirds?
A. Any time between the middle of May towards the end of
June.
Q. What is the best time to see the seals?
A. You should normally see seals at any time of the day/year,
however you will usually only see the seals on the rocks around low tide.
Q. Do you tell us about the wildlife etc.,?
A. Yes, a full commentary is normally given en route.
Q. Do you have lifejackets?
A. Yes, we have lifejackets for everyone although they
will only be issued in emergencies.
Q. Are there toilets on the boat/islands?
A. There are no toilets on the boat, or on Staple or Longstone Islands. There ARE toilets on Inner Farne.
Q. Where can we park?
A. You can park in the main council car park which is a short walk away or in the harbour car park (above the RNLI station) or on the pier at Seahouses (the last two options are the cheapest).
Q. Can we take our dog on the boat or islands?
A. Well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard our boats, however they are not allowed on the National Trust islands. They can be left aboard the boat where they will be looked after until your return. Dogs ARE allowed onto Longstone Island.
Q. Can we reserve seats?
A. Yes, you can telephone us to reserve seats which we
will keep for you until about 20 to 30 minutes before the sailing time. Please note though, we cannot take bookings by email.
Q. Can I pay by credit card?
A. Yes, we take all major credit cards except American
Express and Switch.
Q. We've been on one of your boats and the Skipper had a little dog that had the run of the boat. What type of dog is it?
A. She's a very friendly cross Bedlington/Patterdale Terrier by the name of Miggy.
